This is a finely balanced dark chocolate with hints of spice produced with fine flavor cacao from the jungles of Dong Nai Province, Vietnam completely from pod to bar.
This 72% chocolate is made with cocoa that is produced at MAROU's own cacao fermentation and drying station near Cat Tien Natural Park in Dong Nai province. Marou's French expatriate chefs turned chocolate makers are bringing french flaire to a distinct vietnamese flavor that most have never tried before. Marou spent its early years scouring the Vietnamese countryside for great cacao. In trial and error, many wonderful characters and got lost in extraordinary places. The adventure came to include budding engineers, old soldiers and die-hard pastry chefs. A curious taste for chocolate drew them all into Marou’s tent.
